MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Boys Basketball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard

Penn State-bound Lamar Stevens scored 32 points Sunday night to lift No. 8 Roman Catholic of Philadelphia to the tourney title at the Gonzaga DC Classic.

1. (No. 1 last week) Montverde Academy (Fla.), 7-0Riding a 28-game win streak, the Eagles take the floor next Dec. 19 against Spain Park (Hoover, Ala.) at the City of Palms Classic.
2. (2) La Lumiere (LaPorte, Ind.), 9-0The Lakers are headed to Hawaii this week to participate in the Iolani Classic. Fairfax (Los Angeles), Lone Peak (Highland, Utah) and Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) are a few of the heavyweights in the field.
3. (3) Chino Hills (Calif.), 5-0Like No. 1 Montverde Academy, the next outing for Chino Hills will be at the City of Palms Classic. The Huskies meet Thomas Jefferson (Brooklyn, N.Y.) in the opening round.
4. (4) Atascocita (Humble, Texas), 15-0No. 1 in the MaxPreps Boys Basketball National Computer Rankings presented by the Army National Guard, the Eagles made a long road trip to Minnesota over the weekend and came away with a pair of impressive wins.
5. (5) Prolific Prep Academy (Napa, Calif.), 10-1Pro Prep will close out the year with trips to Tennessee and Michigan.
6. (6) Garfield (Seattle), 3-0The road gets tougher this week for the Bulldogs, who have meetings with Metro League power Seattle Prep and defending Arizona big school champ Corona del Sol (Tempe) at Hoophall West.
7. (7) DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.), 6-0After winning four games in six days last week, the Stags will take 10 days off before facing Bishop McNamara (Forestville, Md.) on Dec. 23.

9. (10) Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.), 10-0The Pilots open play at the Tarkanian Classic this week with a dangerous opponent in Wasatch Academy (Mt. Pleasant, Utah).
10. (11) Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.), 13-1The Warriors captured the tournament title Saturday night at the Friendship Classic in Bristol, Va., knocking off a tall and talented Hamilton Heights Christian Academy (Chattanooga, Tenn.) team in the final, 60-55.
11. (12) Greenforest (Decatur, Ga.), 9-0The Eagles have a big opener at the Chick-fil-A Classic in South Carolina against Providence Day (Charlotte, N.C.).
12. (9) Huntington St. Joseph Prep (W.Va.), 12-2Both of Prep's losses have come to top-five teams.
13. (14) Chaminade (St. Louis), 5-1The Red Devils avenged a 2014 loss to Malik Monk and Bentonville (Ark.) on Saturday night, as
Jayson Tatum went for 40 points and 17 rebounds in a 76-57 win.
14. (13) Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.), 6-0The Monarchs have a chance to enter the Beach Ball Classic in South Carolina after Christmas with a 10-0 record.
15. (16) Roselle Catholic (N.J.), 0-0Roselle Catholic's season opener Dec. 20 vs. East Side (Newark).

Amir Coffey scored 22 points and grabbed 10 boards as the Royals prevailed 89-81 over then-No. 15 Apple Valley on Saturday at the Breakdown Classic.

25. (NR) Memphis East (Tenn.), 7-0It's a hot start for the Mustangs, who beat Westlake (Atlanta) 70-58 on Saturday at the Memphis vs. Atlanta Roundball Classic. East gets a crack at No. 5 Prolific Prep on Friday.
