The Lady Vikings return four starters led by
Macy Robinson (14 ppg, 9 rpg),
Sabrina Hackendorn (12 ppg, 10 rpg),
Alex Thomas (11 ppg, 7 rpg) and
Gabby Julian (9 ppg, 4 apg). With a deep, talented bench there’s no reason to think the Lady Vikings won’t be right back in the title game.
2. Caravel (Bear)Head coach: Kristen Caldwell
2012-13 finish: 18-6, state finals
The Lady Bucs are loaded with four returning starters from last year’s team that lost in the state finals. Juniors
Caroline Davis (11 ppg, 8 rpg), Ky’Asia Stanford (11 ppg, 4 apg, 3.5 spg), Micah Morgan (12 ppg, 6 rpg, 3 spg) and senior Jessica Reynolds (7 ppg, 5 rpg) are hungry to make another state tournament run, according to Caldwell.
3. Sanford (Hockessin)Head coach: Marcus Thompson
2012-13: 17-6, state semifinals
Boston University-commit
Alison Lewis (17 ppg, 6 rpg) and sophomore
Chrishyanah Alston (10 ppg, 5 rpg) lead a large contingent of experienced returning players as the Warriors have games scheduled from Pennsylvania to Florida.
4. Appoquinimink (West Middletown)Head coach: Micah Edwards
2012-13 finish: 17-5, 2nd round state tournament
Last year’s leading scorer
Janesha Bull (Sr., 13 ppg) and leading rebounder
Amber Cale (Sr., 11 ppg, 7 rpg) return to anchor an experienced Jaguar squad hoping to go deep into the playoffs.
5. Ursuline Academy (Wilmington)Head coach: John Noonan
2012-13 finish: 16-6, state semifinals

Laura Hurff shoot to get the Raiders back to the Bob Carpenter Center and the state championship game, where the duo won a state title as sophomores.
