We have driven through every type of terrain on this tour. We have seen every type of town and city. With all that said, New York is on a level all of its own. It is Mike's first time here, so tomorrow I will act as a tour guide and show him all the great sights. Last night we went down to Time Square, and then over to Rockefeller Center, and Mike's first words were, "I'm reminded that I am from the small town of Placerville walking around this city." He also was amazed with how everything is so vertical, and how people live right on top of each other with no yards.
We now are back in our hotel room, yes hotel room. Maxpreps.com is great and put us up in a hotel so that Mike and I didn't have to drive the RV into the biggest city in the US and try to find a parking spot. We get to sleep in different beds and watch television, which as been a special event during the tour. Thank you Andy, and thank you to the rest of you that spent time with us last night, and we will see you at Saturday's big game.
This weekend's game is between Don Bosco Prep and Bergen Catholic. Yesterday we talked to Don, but today we got to hang out with the Crusaders as they get ready for their biggest game of the year. It impressed me how much they knew about us, and how eager they were to challenge us at Madden. Hopefully Saturday we will be able to make that Madden game a reality, and so I can show them how talented I really am. Anyways, these boys seem to be ready for this upcoming game, but at the same time relaxed enough to make jokes with me. I really liked these fellas and hope they do well on Saturday, but is being too relaxed good or bad for a team going into a huge game?
