Cedar Hill improved its record to 2-1 against current or former Xcellent 25 teams this season when it steamrolled then-No. 18 Carroll (Southlake), 62-42, in the Class 6A Division II quarterfinals. Westfield enters Saturday's contest with 13 consecutive wins after opening the year with a loss to once-nationally ranked Manvel. Westfield attained entry to the state semifinals for the first time since 2004 with a 24-19 win over Spring. It was the Mustangs' ninth win in the last 11 meetings over their Spring ISD rival.
