Wesley Hanks made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Eastern's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 3-6 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Lucas Campbell was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Eastern is undefeated when Campbell posts two or more runs, but 2-6 otherwise. Joseph Foskett was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Eastern always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .789. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, McKinley Tech got the win against Coolidge on Monday by a conclusive 14-0.

Eastern came out on top in a nail-biter against McKinley Tech in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ramblers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
