The HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Indianapolis Northwest W and snuck past 62-60. The win was all the more spectacular given HomeSchool Resource Center's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 444th in Illinois, while Indianapolis Northwest W is ranked 199th in Indiana).
HomeSchool Resource Center had a senior duo take command as Fredrick Jefferson scored 18 points along with three steals and Caleb Baldridge scored 15 points along with six assists and six rebounds. The match was Jefferson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason O'Neal, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
HomeSchool Resource Center's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Indianapolis Northwest W, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
HomeSchool Resource Center will be playing at home against Kankakee Trinity Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kankakee Trinity Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully HomeSchool Resource Center likes a good challenge. Indianapolis Northwest W will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Anderson HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th. Anderson HomeSchool has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,217 points over their last 17 games.
