The North Georgia HomeSchool Tribe had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Cottage with a 40-34 win on Wednesday.
Despite the loss, Cottage still got an impressive performance from Alyssa Briggs, who almost dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 20 rebounds, and nine steals. The match was Briggs' 12th in a row with at least ten points.
Cottage struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
North Georgia HomeSchool's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9. As for Cottage, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Georgia HomeSchool's road trip will continue as they head out to face Notre Dame Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Cottage will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Varsity Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on January 11, 2024.
