Bishop Kearney (Brooklyn, N.Y.) class of 07’, is off to a great start this cross country season .The Fordham senior won her second straight meet running a 18:40 at the CW Post Invitation in Brookville, New York . Gallagher who also won last week’s Fordham Fiasco and was named A-10 runner of the week last week , was excited about her great start to her cross country season,” Winning two races in a row really gets me excited about the next time I can race because I want try to do it (win) again.
This race was dominated by Gallagher and Freshman Anisa Arsenault who took the top two spots of the race . Gallagher edged out Arsenault by 0.25 to win . Fordham had 5 runner finish in the top 15 of the race. The Rams edged off St. John’s by one point to win the meet. The Rams are off to a solid start this year winning the CW Post Invitational and finished 5th in last week’s Fordham Fiasco . Gallagher , the captain of the team is happy with the start of the team this season,” Our team is starting off on a great note. Early success gets the momentum going,” Gallagher said,” We are all very excited to see how the rest of the season is going to progress and are looking to do big things when it is time for championship season.”
Gallagher and The Fordham Rams are off to a great start this and will continue their great season at the Lieber Invitational in Fairfield , Connecticut. Gallagher has high exceptions for her team moving this season and is willing to do whatever she can to led her team to achieve their goals ,” Since it is my last year, I would like to see us place well as a team at the different meets we compete at. I'm looking to do whatever I can to reach that goal.”
