Preseason No. 1 Haverford School, which went 26-0 last year and was ranked by most media ranking services as the nation's No. 1 team in 2015, lost two of its first three games and had a 27-game win streak ended by Loyola Blakefield (Md.).
That loss allowed Landon, which is off to a 5-0 start, to claim the No. 1 spot, while McDonogh comes in at No. 2. Haverford School dropped to No. 9.
Most of the northeast programs begin play this week, which should result in more movement in next week's rankings.

1. (last week 4) Landon (Bethesda, Md.), 5-0 The Bears are off to a strong start with a 13-6 win over Bishop O'Connell, a 12-6 win over St. Mary's, a 9-0 win over John Carroll, a 12-8 win over Gillman and a 14-10 win over Calverton.
2. (6) McDonogh (Owings Mills, Md.), 4-0
The Eagles handed Gonzaga a 9-7 loss in their season opener and have also picked up wins over Collegiate School (11-5), Lake Highland Prep (15-8) and Saint Andrews (13-8).
3. (8) Culver Academies (Ind.), 4-0
Culver knocked off Haverford School 9-8 in overtime to hand the Fords their second-straight loss. The Eagles also beat St. Xavier (Louisville, Ky.) 27-1, Carmel (Ind.) 17-2 and Episcopal Academy (Pa.) 10-1.
4. (2) Victor (N.Y.), 0-0
The Blue Devils open the season Wednesday against Corning (N.Y.).
5. (3) Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.), 4-1
The Purple Eagles fell to McDonogh 9-7, but defeated Bullis 11-4, St. Albans 13-4, Dallas Jesuit (Dallas) 18-7 and St. Ignatius (San Francisco) 9-3.
6. (14) Georgetown Prep (North Bethesda, Md.), 4-0
The Hoyas opened the season with four straight wins, beating Our Lady of Good Counsel 9-3, Paul VI 12-8, St. John's (Washington, D.C.) 10-3 and The Heights 9-6.
7. (NR) Malvern Prep (Pa.), 3-0
The Friars have an 11-9 win over Loyola Blakefield, which defeated Haverford School. Malvern Prep has also defeated St. Anne's Belfield 15-4 and Cardinal Gibbons 21-11.
8. (NR) Loyola Blakefield (Towson, Md.), 1-1
Besides ending Haverford School's 26-game win streak with a 16-14 win, Loyola-Blakefield lost to Malvern Prep 11-9.

The Fords, who didn't lose a game last year, have lost two in a row after opening the season with a 12-8 win over St. Paul's. Haverford School lost to Loyola Blakefield 16-14 and then fell to Culver Academies 9-8 in overtime.

The Scots' only loss this year is to McDonogh (Owings Mills, Md.) and they also handed IMG Academy its only loss.
11. (NR) Monte Vista (Danville, Calif.), 6-0
The Mustangs have an 8-5 win over St. Ignatius Prep (San Francisco), whose only other loss is to Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.).
