Video: LAX goal rowing celebration
See an interesting way to celebrate a goalVictor's destiny is in its own hands as the No. 1 team in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Boys Lacrosse Rankings presented by the Army National Guard heads into the New York state playoffs with few teams capable of catching the Blue Devils.
Victor (N.Y.) has been ranked No. 1 since the first week of the season and has extended its win streak to 38 games in a row. The defending Class B state champions open postseason play on June 1.
The three teams directly below Victor have all finished their seasons. No. 2 McDonogh won the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association championship last week while No. 3 Monte Vista won the North Coast Section Division I championship in California. No. 4 Bullis concluded its season as well.
The only team with a legitimate chance of catching Victor might be No. 5 Darien, which is also undefeated and has some impressive wins this season. Like Victor, Darien has yet to begin postseason play.
