For the second-straight season, these traditional Thanksgiving rivals will battle for much more than just Turkey Day pride.
The Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference title is on the line, with Staples (8-0) aiming to make it two championships in a row. The Wreckers beat Greenwich with the same title at stake last season (31-27) and own a 5-3 advantage in games played against the Cardinals since 2004. All eight of Staples' wins this season are by more than 20 points, including a 49-7 rout of Westhill (Stamford) in which the Wreckers had a season-high 509 team rushing yards.

Austin Longi – a 5-9, 145-pound sophomore -- returned an interception and a punt for touchdowns, according to the Connecticut Post.
