This Class 5A quarterfinal clash is a rematch of an opening-round game from last season won by Syracuse. Alta (9-2) has strung together four straight wins after losing to defending national champ Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.) on Sept. 29. Last week, quarterback
Chipper Lucero passed for 291 yards and three touchdowns as the Hawks beat Riverton in a first-round game, 27-14. The 6-2, 195-pound junior has 3,106 passing yards and 34 touchdowns this season.
