Folsom's win over
De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) in the Northern California Division 1AA regional playoff win marked the end of a historic run by the Spartans. A look at the numbers shows just how dominant the Spartans have been over the past four decades and why Folsom's win is so remarkable.

• The loss to Folsom marked the second time since 1982 that De La Salle lost a playoff game that wasn't a championship game. The other non-championship loss came against Miramonte (Orinda) 14-7 in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs in 1983.
• De La Salle's only other NorCal loss came against Monte Vista (Danville) 14-13 in the 1987 Class 3A championship game.

Pulaski Academy continues passing tradition without Kevin Kelley
Although Kevin Kelley no longer coaches at
Pulaski Academy (Little Rock, Ark.), the Bruins have not slowed down under first-year head coach Anthony Lucas. Besides winning the Class 5A state championship, Pulaski Academy had a quarterback pass for over 4,000 yards for the 18th time, which is the most by any program in the country.
Charlie Fiser threw for 4,988 yards, which ranks seventh all-time at Pulaski Academy. With 8,049 career yards, he's the eighth Pulaski Academy quarterback to top 8,000 yards in his career.
