That quartet of states has 80 former players involved in the playoffs – including those on the rosters of the eliminated Milwaukee Brewers, Minnesota Twins and Oakland A's.
Florida was next with 24, including Astros Game 3 starter Zack Greinke of
Apopka.
Texas (17) and Georgia (12) were the only other states to land double digit players on playoff rosters.
Rounding out the top five, American League Cy Young favorite Justin Verlander of the Astros and
Goochland headlines a contingent of nine players from Virginia.
