Video: Sometimes Different is Better Play of the Week
Arkansas-bound standout makes big block at one end and remarkable dunk at the other. Not many high school kids — human beings of any age really — can do what
Daniel Gafford does. Not physically.
The 6-foot-11 forward from
El Dorado is the No. 1 basketball recruit in all of Arkansas.
He's definitely different and sometimes different is better.
His block at one end in a recent game was nice, but not particularly special.
What he did at the other end, few on the planet could do, taking a lob pass from
Charles Manning and throwing it down for a monster one-hand dunk.
The difference between a regular basket and what Gafford did was way better. It gave his team loads of energy in another big win. The team is off to a 6-0 start.
