Even though the Bowman Academy Eagles scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, the Michigan City Wolves still came out on top. Michigan City took their matchup against Bowman Academy 68-55. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Michigan City.
Despite the defeat, Bowman Academy saw an underclassman step up: Jamarie Pollard scored 23 points along with six assists and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tasean Gates, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Bowman Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Michigan City's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Bowman Academy, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Michigan City will head out on the road to challenge Lake Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Michigan City's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. As for Bowman Academy, they will be playing at home against Victory Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Bowman Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday.
