Champagnat Catholic (Hialeah, Fla.) snapped the nine-game winning streak of
Indian Rocks Christian (Largo, Fla.), with a 28-14 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a two-point conversion in the second quarter, the Lions were up 8-7 at the half.
With the win Champagnat Catholic extended its winning streak to 13 games. Champagnat Catholic defeated Glades Day 24-14 last week.
Led by
Travonte Valentine, CC went into the matchup giving up only 9.2 points per game. The 14 points that the Golden Eagles ended with were well below their average of 33.0 coming into the game.
The loss comes after Indian Rocks Christian defeated First Baptist Academy 28-14 last week.
