If the namesake of your school has the last name Webb, what is the most clever mascot name to play off that?
Feet!
At
The Webb School (Bell Buckle), they are OK with stomping. And you can bet they're pretty fleet in all sports. Not to mention footwork is undoubtedly important.
According to the school's website, "The mascot is now deeply ingrained in The Webb School's tradition. Seniors take turns wearing the large Webb Feet costume at various sporting events throughout the year."
You can undoubtedly find plenty of people who wore Bears mascot costumes in high school, but if you're looking for someone who was "The Foot" you are only going to have to look at one place, and it's the private school located in a small town between Nashville and Chattanooga.

Scholar William R. "Old Sawney" Webb founded the school in 1870 and is the South's oldest continually operating boarding school. He was elected to the United States Senate in 1912 despite never holding public office.
Coming up with a logo isn't too difficult when you are the Feet. Perhaps the only question was whether to go with wings on the foot, like Hermes from Greek mythology.
But making a living, breathing mascot character to dance and pump up the crowd at home games? That's a little more difficult.
The Webb School has pulled it all off with class. They've got the unique mascot name. They've got the logo. And they have the mascot costume.
