The Cavaliers won state championships in 2011 and 2012 and lost to William Penn in last year's state championship game. Middletown boasts one of the top defensive linemen in the state in
Markel Weldon. He earned all-state honors while making 49 tackles last year. He's joined by third-team, all-state defensive end
Peter Cox and second-team all-state defensive back
Isiah Mitchell.

Team previewSt. Mark's only losses to Delaware opponents last year were a pair of defeats at the hands of state champion William Penn. The Spartans return five starters on offense and defense, but will have to find a replacement for all-state lineman Keith Medley, who transferred to Caravel.
Pj Groves returns on the offensive line while wide receiver

Team previewThe Sallies have one of the top records in Delaware over the past 12 seasons, going 101-38 with four state championships, including one in 2013. Salesianum will rely on
Colby Reeder to help lead the defense. He was a second-team all-state defensive back in 2014. Quarterback
Garrett Cannon also returns after throwing for 1,000 yards as a junior.
Kyle Cathers, one of the team's leading tacklers from last year, also returns.

Team previewThe Hawks won their first 11 games, including a 50-30 win over Hodgson Vo-Tech, but lost in the state finals to Hodgson Vo-Tech, 32-7.
Stefon Woodruff, one of the state's top two-way linemen, returns after winning all-state honors on both sides of the line. He was first-team all-state on defense and second team at offensive tackle.
Tordell Kemp returns at quarterback to run the offense. He threw for just under 500 yards in the Hawks' run-happy offense.
