St. Mary's and Folsom face off this Saturday at 7:00 PM to determine whose season will come to a close. St. Mary's is currently on a eight-game winning streak and looking to extend its dominance.
St. Mary's put the hurt on Oak Ridge last week with a conclusive 61 - 21 victory. Senior wide receiver Dewey Cotton had a nice 124-yard performance that was surely well-received by fans. Cotton has now scored at least one TD in the past nine consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Folsom crushed Elk Grove last week, winning 41 - 3. Senior quarterback Joe Curry was a big help in the victory with a strong 415-yard passing performance. Curry has been a consistent playmaker for Folsom as this was the 3rd good game in a row from him.
Their wins bumped St. Mary's and Folsom up to an identical 12-1. It should be a fierce showdown as St. Mary's is ranked 59th in the nation and Folsom is ranked 45th. We'll see who wants it more.
