1. Wagner (San Antonio)
Head coach: Christina Camacho
2014-15 record: 26-11

The Thunderbirds are seeking a fourth state final four appearance in the last six seasons. And they have just the player to lead them there in TCU pledge Amber Ramirez (5-8, Sr., G). Three other starters return including Da'Nasia Hood (6-0, Soph., F/C).

2. Cypress Woods (Cypress)
Head coach: Virginia Flores
2014-15 record: 35-1

The defending Class 6A state champion graduated a terrific scorer in Erica Ogwumike, now at Pepperdine, but returns three starters: Oklahoma commit Nancy Mulkey (6-9, Sr., C), Jasmine Williams (5-10, Sr., G) and Catherine Reese (6-3, Soph., F).

3. Plano West
Head coach: Kristen Perry
2014-15 record: 30-5

Seven seniors return from a club that made a perfect 16-0 run through District 6-6A last year and fell one win short of reaching the final four. Topping the list is Natalie Chou (6-1, Sr., G/F), a member USA Basketball 3 v. 3 U18 team that took the silver medal over the summer in Hungary.

4. Flower Mound
Head coach: Sherika Nelson
2014-15 record: 28-8

The Jaguars saw their playoff run end a game short of the state final a year ago. Lauren Cox (6-4, Sr., C) is rated the nation's best prospect in some camps and she is joined by two other returning starters.

5. Canyon
Head coach: Joe Lombard
2014-15 record: 34-3

A fixture at the state tournament with 26 appearances to its credit, the defending Class 5A state champion returns four starters highlighted by Angel Hayden (5-7, Jr., G), the Eagles' leader in points (37) and rebounds (13) in the last season's final four.
