NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. — The impressive lineup of college coaches stretched as far as the six gyms at Riverview Activities Center would allow on Friday. Kentucky's John Calipari, Syracuse's Jim Boeheim, North Carolina's newly minted head coach Hubert Davis and Duke associate head coach Jon Scheyer were just a few of the many taking in day four of the Nike EYBL Peach Jam, arguably the country's biggest high school boys basketball showcase.
With college coaches in attendance for the first time and pool play ramping up, the intensity was at its peak. Many teams played two games, giving scouts ample opportunity to observe 60 of the top
100 prospects in the Class of 2022 and
54 of the
top 75 prospects in the 247Sports composite Class of 2023 player rankings.
A rundown of players who stood out most:
The 6-foot-4 shooting guard exploded for a pair of impressive performances, combining for 59 points in a pair of losses for UPlay Canada. The Canadian native finished with 29 points and seven rebounds during an 82-54 loss to Pro Skills, before going for 30 points (11-of-22 shooting) in a 76-67 setback to Indy Heat. Through five games, he's averaging 21.8 points per game, which ranks third best for the week.
Sharpe recently made the jump from No. 59 to No. 8 in the latest 247Sports rankings, but if he continues to score at a high level against the elite talent, his standing could rise even further by the end of his senior year. He's expected to suit up at
Dream City Christian (Glendale, Ariz.) next season and after that has 11 college offers. Of those, 247Sports believes Kentucky, Alabama, Creighton and Oregon are his top choices.
Following up on his 30 point effort on Thursday, Arceneaux had two more big-time performances for LJ3. The four-star prospect made 8-of-12 shots en route to 17 points to go along with five rebounds, two blocks and two steals in an 85-67 win over LivOn Fleur Di Lis. The 6-7 wing from
Beaumont United (Beaumont, Texas) backed that up with 23 points and 10 rebounds during a 95-83 win over Vegas Elite. He made 8-of-11 from the field, was 3-for-3 on 3s and made all five of his foul shots to finish off a truly productive and efficient day.
Currently regarded as the No. 67 prospect in the Class of 2022, Arceneaux would need to make another significant leap in the rankings to gain five-star status. The long and athletic incoming senior has all the tools to reach that standing and is playing at one of the highest levels of any player here all week, averaging 21.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per contest while shooting 58 percent from the field.
The Texas native has the ability to operate on all three levels with a smooth mid-range fade-away jumper to go along with explosive athleticism to get to the basket. Most of his 12 college offers are from the South, including Texas, Houston, Baylor, LSU, Texas A&M and Rice.

Under-the-radar prospects

Keyon Menifield doesn't currently possess on recruiting profile page on any of the major sites, but expect that to change. The 6-2 guard for The Family is the event's second-leading scorer at 23 points per game and on Friday he had 24 points, eight rebounds and four assists during a 68-65 overtime loss to the Albany City Rocks. The incoming senior preps at
Beecher (Flint, Mi.).

Brendan Hausen is currently regarded as the No. 189 prospect in the Class of 2022, but the 6-4 guard certainly has outplayed his ranking. On Friday, Hausen was the day's top scorer, pouring in 32 points on 11-of-19 shooting (6-of-12 on 3-pointers) in an 82-63 loss to Boo Williams.
Stat lines of the day
* Four-star junior
Bryce Griggs of JL3 combined for 51 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in two wins for LJ3. The 6-3 guard not only lit it up from the field, but he made all 17 free throws he attempted.
* Five-star senior guard
Cason Wallace of Pro Skills played at an extremely high level for a third consecutive day. The 6-4 guard combined for 35 points, 16 rebounds and 14 assists while leading his team to a pair of victories. Wallace made 15 of 24 shots from the field on the day and for the event, is second among all players averaging 6.2 assists per game.
