In a season of upsets, last week marked the first time in six weeks where none of the top five teams in the MaxPreps Top 25 national high school basketball rankings were upended.
In perhaps the calmest week of action all season, only previous No. 22 Westlake (Austin, Texas) dropped from the rankings after a season-ending loss in the UIL Class 6A state tournament.
Replacing Westlake is Alabama Class 7A champion Lee (Montgomery), which re-enters the Top 25 for the first time since Jan. 28.
Five of our Top 10 teams have already wrapped up regular season play, while No. 2 Grayson (Loganville, Ga.) and No. 3 Dorman (Roebuck, S.C.) each will compete for their respective state title this weekend.
With a GEICO Nationals announcement expected to come next week, a number of ranked teams will be on edge in the coming days hoping to have done enough to earn an invitation to the national championship event.
