Last night's game turned out to be a game of running. Not much passing, not a lot of big plays, and in the end New Rochelle just couldn't do anything against Monroe-Woodbury's defense. After halftime, the only score for New Rochelle came off of a blocked punt that was recovered in the end zone. New Rochelle did what I said by never giving up until the final whistle blew, but heart couldn't win out over the better team this particular night.
Today we got to visit the nice people of Canada with a trip to Niagara Falls. The amount of water coupled with the sheer size of the waterfall is astonishing. Mike and I got some great views from a restaurant that overlooks the falls and has a great buffet, which Mike took advantage of by spending the 30 dollars it cost.
Once we soaked up the views we were on our way to Detroit, MI, where Mike's Aunt and Uncle live. It was Mike's Aunt's birthday, so Happy Birthday Mrs. Kummer and thank you for opening your doors to us on such a special day. Tomorrow we will wake up and head toward South Bend, IN, home of Notre Dame Univesity and another friend of Mike's, before we end up in Frankfurt, IL, for the semifinal matchup between #2 (#35 Nationally) Mount Carmel and #3 (#41 Nationally) Lincoln-Way East. Looks to be a great matchup so stay tuned this week for all the video's, and don't forget to write or call us whenever you get the urge.
