Following a spectacular high school debut that saw
Cameron Boozer lead
Columbus (Miami) to Florida's Class 7A state championship and capture MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year honors, the 6-foot-9 forward earned the top spot in the initial 247Sports Class of 2025 rankings released Thursday morning.
The son of former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer averaged 18.9 points, 10.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 blocks during his first season of high school hoops before leading his club team to the Nike EYBL Peach Jam 15U title over the summer.
His brother,
Cayden Boozer, debuted at No. 24 in the initial rankings after averaging 16.6 points, 5.1 assists and 4.8 rebounds to earn first team MaxPreps Freshman All-America honors.
Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.) standout
Cooper Flagg comes in at No. 2 in the Class of 2025 rankings. The 6-8 forward averaged 20.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 3.7 steals and 3.7 blocks last season to earn MaxPreps Maine Player of the Year honors.

St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia), who ranks No. 58 overall, Carmelo Anthony's son,
Kiyan Anthony of
Christ the King (Middle Village, N.Y.), who sits at No. 62, and
Jermaine O'Neal Jr. of first-year program Dynamic Prep (Dallas), who is currently ranked No. 68 in the nation.
