Don Bosco Prep exacted revenge for a loss in last year's state championship game to St. Joseph Regional despite not scoring an offensive touchdown until the second half. The Ironmen took advantage of four turnovers in the contest and used a special teams score take a second-quarter lead they wouldn't relinquish.
The Green Knights struck first on a 3-yard
Andrew Wilson touchdown plunge in the opening period. But Don Bosco Prep immediately answered as senior
Isaiah Alvarez exploded with a 92-yard kickoff return for a score. The Ironmen trailed 7-6 after a missed conversion.

St. Joseph Regional corralled the Don Bosco Prep offense for most of the first half but a costly pick-six from freshman quarterback
William Mitchell gave the Ironmen a 13-7 edge. Deep in their own territory, Mitchell's third-down pass was plucked on the 20 by
Joaquin Phillips, who found the end zone untouched.
Don Bosco Prep added a 34-yard field goal to take the 16-7 edge into halftime.
In addition to the interception, Don Bosco Prep had two fumble recoveries in the opening half and added an interception late in the fourth as St. Joseph Regional was driving and hoping to pull off a comeback.
Ca'si Thomas, who finished with 80 yards on 23 carries, gave the Ironmen an offensive score in the third period as he plunged in from a yard out to give Don Bosco Prep a 23-7 edge.
