Jordan Walker, the Celtics (3-0, ranked No. 20 nationally by MaxPreps) advanced Tuesday to the City of Palms Classic championship game with a 52-49 win over No. 13
Chaminade (St. Louis).
The Patrick School will meet
Chino Hills (Calif.) in the final Wednesday at 8:30 p.m.
Walker was the hero in Tuesday's classic that featured 13 lead changes and nine ties. The Celtics held Chaminade star Jayson Tatum to 14 points.
Rice – infamously fired by Rutgers in 2013 – is so far proving to be a blockbuster interim addition by The Patrick School head coach Chris Chavannes, who is stepping away for the time being to focus on his duties as principal.
