1. (No. 1 last week) Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.), 7-0Wins over Independent Top 10-ranked Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) and Nevada state championship contender Centennial (Las Vegas) helped the Trailblazers solidify their hold on No. 1 before Christmas. Next up is a trip to Hillsboro, Ore., for the Les Schwab Invitational where No. 6 Garfield, No. 7 Nathan Hale and No. 16 Gonzaga await.
2. (8) Chino Hills (Calif.), 11-0The Huskies looked vulnerable at times at the Tarkanian Classic but returned home with the tournament title, beating then-No. 3 Mater Dei in the final 84-73. Chino Hills has won 46 in a row heading into this week's Rancho Mirage Holiday Classic.
3. (4) Greensboro Day (Greensboro, N.C.), 17-1Pivotal games against Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia), Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.) and Wesleyan Christian Academy loom in January.
4. (9) Memphis East (Memphis, Tenn.), 9-2Any doubts about East's legitimacy were answered at the City of Palms Classic. The Mustangs reached the championship game, where they held a halftime lead but fell to Independent Top 10-ranked Montverde Academy (Fla.). The COP finalists could meet twice more in the next three weeks as they are slated to play Jan. 7 in Memphis and both are in the field at the Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions.
5. (3) Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.), 11-1Defending national champ Chino Hills vanquished Mater Dei's section title hopes last season and doubled up on the Monarchs with a win in the Tarkanian Classic final earlier this week.

10. (17) Simeon (Chicago), 7-0Quietly, the Wolverines have put together a solid early-season resume with wins over No. 16 Gonzaga as well as Chicago rivals Morgan Park and Whitney Young.
11. (5) Patrick School (Elizabeth, N.J.), 2-2This is an awfully high ranking for a team with a 2-2 record at this point of the season but the Celtics are rewarded for reaching the semifinals at City of Palms. Patrick School's losses came against No. 4 Memphis East and a loaded IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) team not eligible for the High School Top 25.
12. (13) St. Anthony (Jersey City, N.J.), 3-0Tough to gauge the Friars so far but the first half of January will be telling with games against No. 11 Patrick School, Ranney (Tinton Falls) and Jemison (Huntsville, Ala.).
13. (14) Roselle Catholic (Roselle, N.J.), 3-0After an impressive start over the past week, things will really ratchet up for the Lions in January with games against No. 9 DeMatha, No. 11 Patrick School and No. 24 Greenforest.

Nate Pierre-Louis scored 15 points to lead No. 13 Roselle Catholic to a 71-58 win in its season opener over Pope John XXIII.

20. (NR) Cordova (Tenn.), 10-1Lone loss came to No. 19 Norcross back on Dec. 10. The Wolves head to Missouri for the Poplar Bluff Shootout after Christmas.

24. (21) Greenforest (Decatur, Ga.), 7-2The Eagles will participate in the Tucker Holiday Shootout after Christmas. January will be brutal with games against No. 9 DeMatha, No. 13 Roselle Catholic and a trip to the Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions.
