West, the Texas Class 3A state champion for the second-straight season, moved all the way up to No. 1 in the Southwest region. Meanwhile, Amity Regional moved up from No. 2 to No. 1 in the Northeast after winning the Class LL state championship.
The other three No. 1 teams include Buchanan in the West, Bryant in the South and Brother Rice in the Midwest.
The regional rankings are based on the
MaxPreps National Baseball Computer Rankings presented by the Army National Guard. The team's record and computer ranking are noted in the rankings. Numbers are current as of Tuesday.

The 50 states are divided into five regions as follows:
West: Hawaii, California, Nevada, Utah, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, Colorado.
Southwest: Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona.
South: Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia.
Midwest: North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas.
Northeast: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, West Virginia.
