Cartersville (Ga.) committed to Clemson on Thursday night via Twitter. The 6-foot-5, 197-pound signal caller picked the Tigers over Georgia and Tennessee among others.
Lawrence threw for 3,708 yards and 49 touchdowns this fall, leading Cartersville to a 15-0 record and AAAA state title. He also ran for 250 yards and five touchdowns.
Cartersville also went 15-0 and won a state championship in 2015. The Hurricanes are 42-2 in three seasons with Lawrence under center.

The recruiting roll for Dabo Swinney and Clemson continued with a pledge from top junior Trevor Lawrence.
