Half of the 32 starting quarterbacks to begin the 2021 NFL season played high school football in three states: California, Florida and Texas.
Of the 32, three will take their first NFL snaps, rookies Trevor Lawrence of Jacksonville by way of Cartersville (Ga.), New England's Mac Jones of The Bolles School (Jacksonville, Fla.) and Zach Wilson of the Jets via Corner Canyon (Draper, Utah).
Contrast that trio with long-time veterans like Tom Brady of the Buccaneers from Serra (San Mateo, Calif.), the Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger from Findlay (Ohio) and Aaron Rodgers of the Packers and Pleasant Valley (Chico, Calif.).
