St. John's (Shrewsbury, Mass.)'s 75-year-old head coach earned his 879th career victory on Tuesday night in a 68-37 win over St. Peter-Marian (Worcester, Mass), the most wins in New England history,
according to Carl Setterlund of the Worcester Telegram.
Foley is also the winningest coach in Massachusetts boys' basketball history. He's directed the Pioneers to 14 Central Massachusettes titles and two state championships in his 37 years with Saint John's.
