2015-16 West Virginia Preseason Girls Basketball Fab 5, presented by the Army National Guard
1. Parkersburg South
Head coach: Scott Stephens
2014-15 record: 22-8
The Patriots had the distinction of being the only team to beat Morgantown last year. Unfortunately that win didn't come in the state finals, where Parkersburg South fell 48-31 to Morgantown. Nevertheless, the Patriots return three players who earned all-state honors last year, including state MVP
Taryn McCutcheon, second-team member
Anna Hayton (a junior) and honorable mention selection
Katelyn Byrd.

Head coach: Jason White
2014-15 record: 36-1
The defending state champion lost just once last year, falling to Parkersburg South in early February. Morgantown avenged that loss with a win in the Class 3A state championship game. The Mohigans will miss all-state point guard Olivia Seggie, but all-state power forward
Sydney Holloway returns.

The Highlanders reached the Class 3A semifinals before falling in a close game to eventual champion Morgantown, 48-42. Huntington had just one senior on last year's squad and it returns a second team all-state player in
Dazha Congleton, a senior shooting guard, and two honorable mention selections in
Lexi Sheffield and
Ericka Budd.

Head coach: Rick Skeen
2014-15 record: 32-5
The Indians captured the Class AA state championship last year, and they look like a good bet to win it all again this year. Sissonville returns a pair of all-state picks in

Madison Jones, a second team selection.
