Stat Freaks of the Week: Washington senior Derrick McKinney dominates on both sides of the ball to top high school football statistical standouts

Freshman Malachi Wilt of Arizona also makes the cut after nine touchdown day.

The past weekend of high school football saw no shortage of insane statistical performances. We are highlighting some of those in the latest edition of Stat Freaks of the Week.

Quarterback Derrik McKinney of Mount Tahoma (Tacoma, Wash.) tops the list after throwing for 288 yards and four touchdowns while running for 241 yards and four more scores.

The senior had an 86-yard touchdown run and seven of the eight scores he was responsible for came on plays of 35 yards or longer in a 54-41 win over Battle Ground on Friday.

Malachi Wilt of Tonopah Valley (Tonopah, Ariz.) is another Stat Freak who is just a freshman. In a 58-0 win Friday, Wilt tossed a school record nine touchdowns and added 521 passing yards. Wilt has 1,247 yards and 15 touchdowns so far this season for the 5-1 Phoenix.
