The Heartland Hoops Classic in Nebraska took center stage on Saturday night as No. 24 Millard North (Omaha, Neb.) upset No. 16 Oak Hill Academy (Mouth Of Wilson, Va.) 80-76 and No. 3 Sunrise Christian Academy (Bel Aire, Kan.) defeated No. 22 Bellevue West (Bellevue, Neb.) 75-68. No. 3 Sunrise Christian Academy also took down No. 16 Oak Hill Academy 67-56 at the event Friday night.
No. 8 Waxahachie (Texas) returned to the court for the first time since Jan. 26 on Friday night as the Indians routed DeSoto (Texas) 80-51 in their regular season finale.
No. 23 Orlando Christian Prep (Orlando, Fla.) is another team that made headlines on Friday, capturing the District 11 Class 2A championship after a a 55-31 victory over City of Life Christian Academy (Kissimmee, Fla.).
