Hillgrove pulled off the upset when a high snap on a McEachern punt forced the punter to kick the ball out of the back of the end zone to avoid a touchdown and give Hillgrove a safety. The safety ended a comeback for Hillgrove, which had scored on a 28-yard field goal by Austin Trevors to tie the game at 10-10. McEachern took the lead in the fourth quarter on a fumble return for a touchdown by Da'quavious Lewis.
