The KIPP Legacy Lions will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Indiana School for the Deaf Deaf Hoosiers at 6:00 p.m. on February 14th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
KIPP Legacy pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Traders Point Christian 65-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (55), KIPP Legacy still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Indiana School for the Deaf's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 52-42 to Attica.
Indiana School for the Deaf might have lost, but man, Dylan Puent was a machine: he scored 23 points. That was a full 54.8% of Indiana School for the Deaf's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Anthony Silvay was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
KIPP Legacy's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Indiana School for the Deaf, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.
Everything went KIPP Legacy's way against Indiana School for the Deaf in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as KIPP Legacy made off with a 63-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for KIPP Legacy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
