Watch the Spartans' running back's effort to help De La Salle hang on for a 28-27 win.
Upsets and near upsets were the theme of the weekend as league races started to warm up. No. 2 Del Oro lost, No. 3 Saint Francis fell and top-ranked De La Salle hung on for a one-point victory, its closest call against a NorCal foe since a tie with Clayton Valley Charter in 2004.
