The Westlake Academy Blacksmiths had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 47.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Texas Wind 52-6 on the road. Westlake Academy's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Andrew Hoang was on fire: he rushed for 100 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries. Jacob Page made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Westlake Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Texas Wind, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
Westlake Academy will be playing at home against East Texas Homeschool Sports at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in East Texas Homeschool Sports' favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. As for Texas Wind, they will head out on the road to face off against Stephenville FAITH at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stephenville FAITH will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
