A tenacious defender that can also fill up the scoring column, Clardy averaged 23 points, 7 rebounds, 3.4 steals and 2.6 assists last year for the No. 20 team in the final MaxPreps Top 25.

Last year's MaxPreps National Player of the Year is the No. 1-rated player in the Class of 2023 by HoopGurlz. Watkins is the complete package who can lead the team in a set offense, run the break and finish at the rim. She has touch from mid-range and distance and is an elite defender. Watkins, who recently signed a NIL deal with Nike, posted 24.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per night while leading the Trailblazers to a 30-2 mark and the CIF Open Division title.

Colorado — Sienna Betts, Grandview (Aurora)

Younger sister of Lauren Betts (now at Stanford), Sienna averaged 10.4 points per game, 9.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game as the Wolves won the 5A title. She was the third-leading scorer for Grandview and the lone returner with a double-figure average.

Connecticut — Mackenzie Nelson, St. Luke's (New Canaan)

Nelson, ranked 42nd in the Class of 2023 by ESPN HoopGurlz, averaged 22.1 points, 5.0 steals and 3.5 assists per game for the 26-1 Storm.

Sidwell assistant Brett Preston said Donovan's athleticism is head and shoulders above her peers. She averaged 15.5 points and 9.4 rebounds last year en route to a national title. With Kiki Rice off to UCLA, Donovan should step into the lead role for the Quakers.

Florida — Emma Risch, Palm Bay (Melbourne)

There's a ton of great talent in the Sunshine State and the five-star headed to South Bend gets the nod. She's Steph Curry-like from distance and great without the ball. She runs the floor well and can finish in traffic. Risch averaged 20.5 points and 6.9 rebounds as the Pirates went 20-6.

Georgia — Courtney Ogden, Westminster (Atlanta)

A versatile playmaker who can run the point or mix it up in the paint, Ogden was part of the USA Basketball U18 team that won gold in Argentina. She averaged 18.4 points and 6.5 rebounds as the Wildcats went 17-11 last season and 17-3 in 2020-21.

Hawaii — Laynee Torres-Kahapea, Punahou (Honolulu)

The first team all-state pick averaged 12.7 points for the Buff N Blu. She's a ferocious on-ball defender whose motor never stops.

Idaho — Avery Howell, Boise

The two-time All-Southern Idaho Conference pick led her team with 12.1 rebounds and 2.2 steals to go with her 10.2 points. She's been offered by Minnesota, St. Mary's, Boise State and Oklahoma State.

The first-team all-state pick got off to a hot start to the 2022-23 season with a season-opening 30 points in a win over Ashlynn Shade and La Lumiere. Last season, Beaumont averaged 15-5 and 4 while leading the Redwings to a 30-5 mark, fifth straight East Suburban Catholic Conference title and third-place finish in the 4A postseason bracket.

The third player in the MaxPreps All-American team headed to play for Auriemma, Shade is the No. 15 ranked player in her class and left Noblesville to play her senior season with the Lakers. Iowa — Sahara Williams, Waterloo West (Waterloo)

The future Sooner averaged nearly 20 points for the Warhawks, who went 23-3 and fell in the 5A title game to nationally-ranked Johnston. Williams, a three-time all-state pick, was second on the team in rebounding and was on the USA Basketball 3x3 gold medal team.

Kansas — Addy Brown, Derby

Michigan — Indya Davis, West Bloomfield

Montana — Breanna Williams, Skyview (Billings)

She dropped 25 points in the AA title game and earned tournament MVP honors last year as a sophomore while leading the Falcons to their first title. She averaged 18.3 in the state tournament and 14.8 for the season.

The state D1 volleyball player of the year is also pretty nice on the hardwood. An all-state pick, McCarthy helped the Bulldogs to an appearance in the title game last season.

New Jersey — Zoe Brooks, St. John-Vianney (Holmdel)

Lancers coach Dawn Karpell says Brooks can do it all — get to the rim, pass and shoot the ball. She is regarded as a top 10 prospect and has helped St. John-Vianney run up a 74-game win streak against New Jersey opponents. As a junior she averaged 18.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3.8 steals as Lancers won the final New Jersey Tournament of Champions. There is a ton of talent in the Garden State and if Brooks is 1, then Paul VI guard and Notre Dame commit Hannah Hidalgo is 1A.

New Mexico — Taejhuan Hill, Volcano Vista (Albuquerque)

A sophomore who was a one-woman wrecking crew, posting four playoff double-doubles for the Hawks in their unbeaten march to the 5A title. Hill, a first-team all-state nod, averaged 12.0 points and 8.1 rebounds during the season.

New York — Kate Koval, Long Island Lutheran (Brookville)
6-5 | Junior (Class of 2024) | Post | Uncommitted
The Crusaders went 14-8 last season as Koval was second in scoring with an 18.7 average and led the team in rebounds with 12 a night. Physical in the paint with great court vision, she can finish in traffic and has seen her stock rise through the summer where she played for Ukraine in the U18 3x3 tournament.

North Carolina — Reychel Douglas, Millbrook (Raleigh)

She chose the Crimson Tide from among 20 offers and averaged 17.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 2.7 assists for the 23-4 Wildcats, who reached the 4A semis. She has honed her game and has a deadly mid-range jumper, but can hit from range or blow by a defender on the way to the hoop.

North Dakota — Logan Nissley, Century (Bismarck)

Nissley averaged 22.0 points and 9.9 rebounds a game for the 24-1 Patriots. She connected on 45 percent of her 3-pointers and 81 percent of her free throws.

Ohio — Sole' Williams, Princeton (Cincinnati)

The MaxPreps All-American switched her commitment and landed with the Aggies after leading Princeton to a 22-4 mark in her junior season. She dropped 23.2 points per night and shot better than 50 percent from the field, including nearly 40 percent from distance while also being named the Greater Miami Conference Player of the Year.

Pennsylvania — Abby Sharpe, Plymouth Whitemarsh (Plymouth Meeting)

A first-team all-state pick, she averaged 14.3 points for the Colonials. Sharpe helped the team to a No. 23 finish in the final MaxPreps Top 25 and has the ability to attack the rim, finish in traffic or knock down a shot from all spots on the floor.

Sparked the Skippers to a 23-2 record with her 19.0 points and 7.8 rebounds a game. She also added 3.6 steals a game for the Division 1 champions.

The No.13-ranked player on ESPN HoopGurlz is electric with the rock. Her sisters play at Vandy and Kentucky while her brothers are both at Arizona State and Jaloni has multiple Division I offers.

Helped the Eagles to a 6A regional quarterfinal appearance after averaging 21.2 points with 4.2 rebounds per night. Her squad was 17-15 last season but coach Stephani Gray said Marshall has amazing court sense and ability to shoot and see the court.

Utah — Amari Whiting, Timpview (Provo)

Last year's MaxPreps Player of the Year from Idaho, Whiting trekked to the Beehive State following mom Amber, who became head coach of BYU in the off-season. Amari flipped her commitment from Oregon to play for her mother. Last season, Amari helped Burley to a 4A championship with a 26-1 record with 26.9 points, 10.5 rebounds and 5.7 steals per game.

Vermont — Elyse MacDonough, Rice Memorial (South Burlington)

A 20-1 season and Division 1 title for the Green Knights was fueled in part by McDonough and her 15.4 points per night. The all-stater also had 3.5 assist per night.

Virginia — Kymora Johnson, St. Anne's-Belfield (Charlottesville)

Part of a top 25 recruiting class for the Cavaliers, Johnson averaged 21.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 6.7 assists a game for the 20-2 Saints. She's a Naismith High School Trophy Preseason Watch List recipient.

Joining Juju Watkins with the Trojans, Samuels is a true point guard who averaged 16.5 points, 6.3 assists and 6.1 steals as a junior. The Bulldogs capped back-to-back 3A titles with an unbeaten season.

West Virginia — Alexis Bordas, Wheeling Park (Wheeling)

As a freshman, the Patriots star averaged 21.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and dropped a 50-piece in a December game. Wheeling Park went 22-5, falling in the state semis, as Bordas grabbed Class 4A all-state honors.

Headed to play for Geno Auriemma as the heir apparent for Paige Bueckers, she averaged 24.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 4.4 steals during her junior year as the Warhawks went 26-3. A big-game point guard with a knack for getting to the rim, Arnold dropped 31 on 12 of 18 shooting in the title tilt with seven assists. Arnold also was part of the USA Basketball U16 team that took gold in August.

Wyoming — Bradie Schlabs, East (Cheyenne)
