Trevor Hardy nailed a 35-yard field goal with no time left on the clock to pull off a wild 29-28 victory.
The 6A game features 12-3 Spanish Fort vs. 10-2 Pinson Valley at 7:30 p.m. Friday, while 5A pits 13-0 St. Paul's Episcopal against 11-2 Pleasant Grove.
A pair of one-loss teams tangle in the 4A championship as 14-1 Gordo takes on 12-1 Handley at 10 a.m. Friday. Reigning 2A champion Fyffe puts its 15-0 mark up against 12-2 Montgomery Catholic in the 3A title clash, while Mars Hill Bible battles Abbeville in the 2A game at 2:45 p.m. Friday.
Finally, the 1A championship pits 13-0 Linden against 12-3 Pickens County at 2:45 p.m. Thursday.
