The heavies remained steady in the top five spots, though change is in the wind as No. 4 Foothill plays at top-ranked De La Salle and No. 2 Folsom is at No. 8 Rocklin.

Result: Idle. The Spartans' unbeaten streak against Northern California competition since 1992 is 255 games. Other wins this season include ranked foes in Del Oro, Serra and Jesuit from the North and Byrnes (South Carolina) and Servite (Anaheim).

4. Foothill (Pleasanton) (4) 7-0

League: East Bay Athletic
Result: Beat California (San Ramon) 21-14 as Kyle Kearns passed for 198 yards and two touchdowns, hitting Isaiah Langley and Isaiah Floyd.

5. Serra (San Mateo) (5) 4-2
Section: Central Coast
League: West Catholic Athletic
Result: Beat St. Francis (Mountain View) 14-2 with fourth-quarter touchdowns by T.C. Lavulo and Kelepi Lataimua to emerge in first place in the WCAL. The losses are to No. 1 De La Salle 41-13 and Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) 24-14.

Result: Idle. Milpitas has allowed 0, 7 ,3, 3 and 0 points and also beat No. 11 Valley Christian (San Jose) 31-17.

7. Clayton Valley Charter (Concord) (7) 7-0
Section: North Coast
League: Diablo Valley
Result: The top-ranked NorCal Division II team beat Northtate (Walnut Creek) 70-7 behind Nate Keisel and a smothering defense.

8. Rocklin (10) 7-0
Section: Sac-Joaquin
League: Sierra Foothill
Result: Beat Woodcreek (Roseville) 35-7. Dustin Howenstine returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown and new QB William Floyd tossed two touchdowns as he assumes command of the team in light of the season-ending injury to Max O'Rourke.

9. Jesuit (Carmichael) (9) 6-1
Section: Sac-Joaquin
League: Delta
Result: Beat Sheldon (Sacramento) 56-13 as Beau Bisharat ran for three touchdowns and Cole Brownholtz accounted for three scores. An earlier win was 42-38 over No. 5 Elk Grove. The loss was to De La Salle in an opener.

Result: Beat Pleasant Grove (Elk Grove) 42-7 as Eltoro Allen ran for 141 yards and a touchdown, Spencer Sheff went for 95 and two scores and Manny Scott-Anderson chugged for a score. The losses were to No. 3 Grant 26-19 and No. 9 Jesuit 42-38.

Result: Beat Riordan (San Francisco) 33-7 as Tre McCloud rushed for 165 yards and scored two touchdowns and Yusuf Haddad returned an interception 25 yards for a score. Previous win was 42-17 over then-No. 6 Bellarmine. The losses are to No. 6 Milpitas and No. 15 Los Gatos.

Result: Beat Tokay (Lodi) 32-0 as Noah Righetti passed for 243 yards and four touchdowns, including a 21-play scoring drive capped by a TD toss to Keaton Hampton. The loss was in double overtime to No. 17 St. Ignatius (San Francisco), 27-24, on a field goal after missing one from 35 yards out on the final play of regulation.

League: Monticello Empire
Result: Beat Armijo (Fairfield) 52-13 as Damonte Moore ran for 143 yards and three touchdowns. The loss was to then NorCal-ranked No. 8 Oak Ridge 24-23.

15. Los Gatos (17) 5-1
Section: Central Coast
League: DeAnza
Result: Beat Santa Clara 63-7 by rushing for 355 yards, an 8.7 yards-per-carry average as eight players reached the end zone. The loss was to No. 13 St. Mary's, 35-32, in a thriller as a game-winning drive stalled on the 1 late.

Result: Beat Nevada Union (Grass Valley) 38-0 as Mike Gemulla ran for 85 yards and two touchdowns and Ben Smith plowed in for a score. Cameron Smith returned an interception 65 yards for a touchdown. The losses were to No. 2 Folsom and No. 14 Vacaville.

Result: Beat previous No. 20 Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills) 35-14 as Logan Hurst passed for four touchdowns, three to Trey Udoffia, and ran for one in his finest effort of the season. Brother Mason Hurst had two interceptions. Other losses were to No. 1 De La Salle, No. 2 Folsom and No. 8 Rocklin.

League: Eastern
Result: Beat Shasta 41-0 and remain the top team in the Northern Section. The loss was 44-22 at No. 15 Vacaville.

Section: Sac-Joaquin
League: Central California
Result: Beat Pitman (Turlock) 47-6, pouncing on three early fumbles and dominating behind QB Tyrone Williams. The losses were to Fresno powers Edison and Clovis West.

24. Sierra (Manteca) (24) 7-0
Section: Sac-Joaquin
League: Valley Oak
Result: The Modesto Bee's top-ranked team beat No. 25 Oakdale 31-20 for just the second time in 19 varsity seasons with two late stops inside the 8-yard line. Mark Paule Jr. rushed for 210 yards and three touchdowns for a 21-0 lead.

Section: Sac-Joaquin
League: Delta
Result: Beat Davis 49-13 as Jacob Lopez passed for 158 yards and a score to Brandon Johnson and Kaderro Tamondong ran for 63 yards and two touchdowns. Patrick Walker and Bryce Abshear had defensive touchdowns. The losses were to No. 3 Grant and to No. 12 Bellarmine (San Jose).
