With the high school football regular season around the midway point in California, several players have hit the stat sheet hard. In California alone, 10 running backs have rushed for at least 1,000 passing yards.
Eric Terrazes of
Sierra Vista (Baldwin Park) leads California with 1,342 rushing yards. The senior has three games in which he rushed for at least 200 yards including a 410-yard, five-touchdown dandy in a 60-13 win over Bassett on Sept. 8.
Roderick Robinson of
Lincoln (San Diego) is second with 1,284 yards. The senior UCLA commit averages 13.2 yards per carry for the No. 25 team in the state. In back to back games against St. Bonaventure and Mater Dei Catholic, Robinson combined for 783 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.
Aaron Ramirez of
Coachella Valley (Thermal) is another player to watch with 1,075 rushing yards. The sophomore has rushed for 200 or more yards in three of his five games. Against Desert Hot Springs, Ramirez went for 288 yards on a 19.2 yards per carry average.
