McKenzie, ranked the
No. 31 recruit in the country overall by 247Sports,
unexpectedly left national power De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) at the end of May and he and his younger brother Jalen, an incoming sophomore, enrolled to
Clayton Valley Charter (Concord, Calif.) the first week of June.
The 6-foot-4, 341-pound defensive lineman, the son of Oakland Raiders General Manager Reggie McKenzie, will announce Thursday his college choice on ESPN.
The reason for his final college choices?
"I fell in love with Arizona and the school as a whole," he said. "The campus, the coaches, the football stadium, the weight room, the lifting coaches. Everything about it was awesome.
"Tennessee was really the same thing but added to that is it's like a second home to me. With my uncle and grandpa living there, it's like a second home."
