A matchup between a pair of Florida 2A schools produced the classic "run vs. pass" scenario when Oak Hall (Gainesville) defeated St. John Lutheran (Ocala) 69-61 last week.
St. John Lutheran's Calib Alexander was impressive on the ground as he racked up 469 yards on 36 carries with eight touchdowns. His performance was the top reported rushing effort of the week, as were his eight touchdowns.
However, Oak Hall was just a little better thanks to the arm of Jared Armstrong. He completed 20 of 32 passes for 463 yards and nine touchdowns. His yardage total ranked second this week while his touchdowns were No. 1.
The teams combined for a total of 1,199 yards of total offense.
