
Snoop Dogg and his wife Shante Broadus got to Bishop Gorman's game more than an hour early. Their son Cordell Broadus had three first-half catches en route to a 30-0 lead.

Cordell Broadus enjoyed his first game among the Gorman sea of blue and orange. Broadus, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound senior, is the No. 114 overall recruit in the country
according to 247Sports. He transferred from Diamond Bar (Calif.) after his junior season.

"He's a great guy — a great guy," Gorman coach Tony Sanchez said of Mr. Dogg (whose real name is Calvin Broadus). "He's involved, but not in any way overbearing. He's really smart and really gregarious. We're happy to have him, his wife and of course Cordell as part of the Gorman family."
Sanchez strategically had the star rapper sit where few, if any, could get at him. But there were loads of gawkers during the 44-0 blowout that Gorman won on regional television.

All three famous sons on this year's roster contributed early as Gorman, ranked 13th in the
MaxPreps Xcellent 25, took a 30-0 halftime lead against Brophy College Prep of Phoenix. Broadus caught three passes in the first half, setting up two touchdowns. Walsh scored the team's first touchdown on a 1-yard run. Fertitta had a fumble recovery and interception in the first half.
Before the game, Broadus gave the younger Walsh a few words of wisdom.
