1. (Last week 1) Folsom (11-0)The Bulldogs rolled Lincoln (Stockton) 50-13 in a Sac-Joaquin Section Division I opener.
Jake Browning tossed six touchdown passes, giving him 62 on the season, two shy of the state single-season mark.
Will McClure caught three touchdown passes and
Bailey Laolagi rushed for 63 yards and a score. The last loss was to De La Salle in the NorCal Open last season, capping a 14-0 season start.

2. (2) Del Oro (Loomis) (9-2)The Golden Eagles beat River Valley (Yuba City) 63-9 in a Sac-Joaquin Section D-II opener.
Michael Moore completed 10 of 12 passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns,
Shane Peterson rushed for 85 yards and two scores and
Dylan Kainrath went for 116 and one. The losses were to state power Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) and NorCal No. 1 De La Salle (Concord).

3. (3) Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills) (10-1)

The Trojans didn't have the ball in the first quarter against Napa in a Sac-Joaquin Section D-I opener, then rolled from there for a 31-7 victory.
Ian Book passed for 142 yards and three touchdowns, two to
Trent Buenzli.
Josh Wellman rushed for 127 yards and a score and
Thomas Mahlman had 17 tackles. The loss was to No. 1 Folsom.

4. (4) Elk Grove (9-1)The Thundering Herd beat Atwater 42-7 in a Sac-Joaquin Section D-II opener, rushing 53 times for 307 yards.
Wadus Parker carried 35 times for 178 yards and four scores and the defense had three interceptions. The loss was to No. 20 Franklin and the big win was over No. 6 Grant, 7-3.

5. (5) Pleasant Grove (Elk Grove) (9-2)The Eagles beat Modesto 48-12 in a Sac-Joaquin Section D-I opener, traveling as a No. 10 seed to the No. 7 seed because Modesto was a league champion.
Deaundre Terrell had four touchdowns, two to
Wyatt Demps, who also had a punt return for a score.
Esley Simmons returned a kickoff 91 yards and caught a TD. Wins include previous No. 6 Rocklin, No. 8 Burbank and No. 20 Jesuit.

6. (7) Grant (Sacramento) (8-3)The Pacers beat Downey (Modesto) 52-14 in a Sac-Joaquin Section D-II opener by rushing 40 times for 441 yards and with
Donovan Brown hitting
Ariyon Huff for two TD passes.
Mike Green and
Deandre Whittington-Grays led the ground attack with 200 yards rushing and two scores, and Whittington-Grays had 20 tackles. Losses were to No. 2 Del Oro, No. 3 Oak Ridge and No. 4 Elk Grove, each by four or fewer points.

7. (8) Granite Bay (8-3)The Grizzlies rolled previous No. 21 Tokay (Lodi) 58-12, storming to a 35-0 first-quarter lead, ignited by
Luke Bussey's opening kickoff return for a score.
Josh Neal completed 9 of 10 passes for 113 yards and two TDs and
Lucas Baiocchi,
Cameron Smith and
Michael Geraghty each ran for scores. The losses were to No. 1 Folsom, No. 2 Del Oro and
previous No. 6 Rocklin.

8. (9) Burbank (Sacramento) (9-2)The Titans beat Wood (Vacaville) 61-28 in a Sac-Joaquin Section D-II opener behind speed and big plays.
Benjamin Jones rushed for four touchdowns,
Calvin Green scored twice,
Ernest Jenkins made plays at QB and
Ngalu Tapa was a force on the defensive line. The losses were to No. 5 Pleasant Grove and No. 6 Grant.

9. (10) Stagg (Stockton) (10-1)The Delta Kings beat Beyer (Modesto) 32-14 in a Sac-Joaquin Section D-I opener as
Wayne Brooks passed for 312 yards and four touchdowns, hitting
Lester Williams for two scores.
Davon Gillum rushed for 143 yards and a score. The loss was to Modesto in a season opener. Another big win was over No. 10 St. Mary's and No. 16 American Canyon.

10. (13) Rio Linda (10-1)The Knights beat Antelope 34-0 in a Sac-Joaquin Section D-II opener, leading 20-0 after one and 34-0 at the half.
Marcel Brown ran for 116 yards and three scores and
Leonard Skattebo carried three times for 68 yards and two scores. The loss was to Roseville in an opener on a blocked field goal returned for a score.

11. (18) Vacaville (7-3)The Bulldogs slugged out a 26-20 victory over previous No. 6 Rocklin, thus earning a seven-position leap in the rankings. Vacaville pounded away for 51 carries and 199 yards. The losses include No. 3 Oak Ridge and No. 7 Granite Bay with a win over NorCal-ranked Deer Valley.

12. (13) Manteca (10-1)The Buffaloes opened D-III play with
one of the most wild playoff games in section history, beating Central Valley (Ceres) 69-55.
Joe Menzel tossed two touchdowns,
Alex Laurel ran for 258 yards and five scores and
Michael Gonzalez went for 103 and two. The loss was to 9-1 Wilcox (Santa Clara).

13. (6) Rocklin (7-4)The Thunder lost to new No. 11 Vacaville 26-20 in a D-II opener. Rocklin started the season 0-2, losing to No. 5 Pleasant Grove and No. 3 Oak Ridge, then caught fire before losing the Sierra Foothill League title to No. 2 Del Oro by a point. A earlier win was 19-7 over No. 14 Inderkum.

The Tigers beat Lincoln 49-14 in a D-III opener as
C. J. Spencer tossed two touchdowns and
Marcus Gilbert ran for 136 and two and
Tyler Dean went for 127 and two. The losses were to No. 5 Pleasant Grove and then-No. 6 Rocklin.

15. (16) Yuba City (10-1)The Honkers beat previous No. 11 St. Mary's (Stockton) 34-28 in a D-II opener as
Jarred Guerrero returned a fumble 62 yards for the game winner late.
Omar Herrera rushed for 223 yards and two TDs. The loss was to No. 14 Inderkum.

16. (17) American Canyon (10-1)The Wolves beat El Dorado (Placerville) 42-26 as
Jomon Dotson and
Derrick Hughes combined for more than 340 yards rushing and four scores. The loss was to No. 9 Stagg.

17. (11) St. Mary's (Stockton) (7-4)The Rams lost to No. 15 Yuba City 34-28. The other losses were to NorCal No. 1 De La Salle and Section No. 2 Del Oro.

18. (12) Central Catholic (Modesto) 10-1The Raiders crushed Marysville 75-0 in a D-IV opener, playing like the defending section, NorCal and State champions that they are. The loss was to then-No. 5 St. Mary's.

19. (20) Jesuit (Carmichael) (8-3)The Marauders beat previous No. 19 Merced 49-39 in a D-I opener for the program's first playoff win in 10 years.

20. (22). Franklin (Elk Grove) (8-3)The Wildcats beat Pitman (Turlock), 44-27, in a D-I opener as
Joey Banks rushed for three TDs and scored on a fumble recovery.
Robert Sanders,

Curtis Williams also played well. Franklin beat then-No. 2 Elk Grove and No. 21 Tracy. The losses were to No. 2 Oak Ridge, No. 6 Grant and No. 19 Jesuit.

21. (22) Tracy (10-1)The Bulldogs beat Edison (Stockton) 56-14 in a D-I opener as
Nate Jones rushed for 115 yards and four touchdowns. The loss was to No. 20 Franklin early.

22. (23) Hilmar (11-0)The Yellowjackets beat Liberty Ranch (Galt) 31-14 in a D-IV opener. This is the No. 2 seed, sporting perhaps its best team since the four-peat section title run of the 1980s.
