Helped Burg win a D-V state title in the fall by catching the game-winning touchdown pass in OT from Xander Carmichael on an 11-yard jump pass on fourth-and-one. Was a finalist for the 2017 OPSWA Mr. Football Award and was the D-V state offensive player of the year (87 receptions for 1,534 yards and 21 touchdowns). Has visited Ohio State. Averaged 17.6 points in basketball where he holds offers from Ohio, Akron, Toledo, Cleveland State and Marshall. Had 35 points and 12 rebounds in a D-III regional semifinal loss to Harvest Prep. Unique talent.
* Nick Tangeman, Marion Local (Maria Stein), 6-4, 180 (2019)First team All-Midwest Athletic Conference. Had 26 catches for 594 yards and seven touchdowns in the regular season for the D-VI state champions. Averaged 22.8 yards per catch. Caught six passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns in the Flyers 34-11 state final win over Kirtland.

Also registered 3.5 tackles for loss, five passes broken up, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries (one returned for a touchdown).
