Washington (Miami, Fla.) snapped the four-game winning streak of
Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, Nev.), with a 28-12 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Treon Harris touchdown pass to
Lamar Parker in the first quarter, the Tornadoes were up 14-6 at the half.
Washington saw its 8-point halftime lead decrease to two entering the fourth.
With the win WHS extended its winning streak to six games. Washington defeated Monsignor Pace 49-7 last week.
The Miami school came into the game allowing 6.0 points per game. The 12 points that the Gaels ended with were well below their average of 31.6 coming into the game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Bishop Gorman, which notched a 20-17 victory over Bergen Catholic in its previous outing.
