Trotter Hughes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. He hasn't dropped below 18 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Haden Terrill, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Hardin-Central put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They blew past Breckenridge 74-13 at home. While fans of Hardin-Central might be used to big wins, the 61-point margin marked the team's biggest win yet this season.
Wellington-Napoleon has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. As for Hardin-Central, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.
Everything came up roses for Wellington-Napoleon against the Bulldogs in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 70-37 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wellington-Napoleon since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
